  • Graduated in Biological Science in 1992; PhD in Crop science in 1996 at the University of Padova, researcher and teacher at the University of Padova since 2001
  • Coordinator of the PhD Course Viticulture enology and marketing of the winemaking enterprises (2009-2012)
  • Coordinator of the program in Food Productions of the Doctoral School in Animal and Food Sciences (2011-2016)
  • President of the BSc degree course in Food Science & Technology (2016 - 2020)
  • Representative for the University of Padova of the Italian Network of the PhD Courses Food Science, Technology and Biotechnology Courses Food Science, Technology and Biotechnology (2008-present)
  • Author and co-author of more than 230 original scientific documents, including research papers, communications at congresses, chapters of books both at a national and at an international level

  • Valorization of the byproducts of the agrifood industry through yeast and bacteria fermentation
  • Yeast antifungal activity
  • Evaluation of yeast activity during wine post- fermentation processes
