Invito a partecipare al tradizionale Corso Cultura in Ecologia nella sua 58ma edizione che si terrà il 28-29 e 30 agosto 2024 presso il Centro Studi per l'ambiente alpino “L. Susmel” a San Vito di Cadore (BL).

Workshop - project “Well-being at the third level project”

Dear PhD Students, dear Colleagues,
Here is the invitation and the announcement to the workshop organized by the PhD students of our Agripolis PhD Programs and the PhD in Psychological Sciences within the project “Well-being at the third level project”. Our participation in this workshop is key for the project success, where an active discussion is previewed among all the actors for the identification of the best strategies and tools for improving the quality of the PhD programs. The meeting primarily concerns PhD students and members of the PhD Boards involved in the project, but it is open to the entire community of post-docs, researchers, and professors of Agripolis. Prof. Massimiliano Zattin (Vice-Rector for Doctoral Studies) and Prof. Giulia Albanese (Coordinator of the Board of the PhD Coordinators of UNIPD) will participate in and close the workshop with their views about the project and its results. |

L’evento si articola in quattro momenti:
saluti istituzionali del prorettore alla didattica prof. Marco Ferrante, dei presidenti di L e LM in Biotecnologia, dell’Associazione Alumni
excursus storico per ripercorre i passaggi cruciali di un momento - la fine degli anni ‘90 - di grande entusiasmo per le biotecnologie e che diede il via al primo Corso di laurea a Padova;
testimonianze di alcuni alumni oggi ricercatori e/o imprenditori di successo;
tavola rotonda sul futuro delle biotecnologie.
L’evento, che si concluderà con un aperitivo serale, è organizzato dai dipartimenti di: Biologia, Agronomia, Alimenti, Risorse naturali, Animali e Ambiente, Biomedicina Comparata e Alimentazione, Territorio e Sistemi Agro-Forestali, Scienze del Farmaco, Scienze Chimiche, Medicina Molecolare, Medicina Animale Produzioni e Salute e con il patrocinio dell’Associazione Alumni dell’Università di Padova.
Nozze d'argento, dunque, ma con uno sguardo ai prossimi 25 anni, per definire oggi alcune linee guida sul ruolo che avranno queste discipline nelle sfide più importanti di domani: salute e sostenibilità. Le biotecnologie svolgono infatti un ruolo cruciale nei settori agrario e alimentare. Sfruttando tecniche avanzate, migliorano la resa delle colture, aumentano la qualità nutrizionale e riducono la dipendenza da pesticidi e fertilizzanti chimici, garantendo la sicurezza alimentare per una popolazione globale in crescita. Inoltre, le biotecnologie sono essenziali per creare una filiera alimentare più efficiente, sostenibile e resiliente, contribuiscono allo sviluppo di pratiche agricole sostenibili che minimizzano l'impatto ambientale e migliorano il valore nutrizionale delle colture, combattendo la malnutrizione.
È un evento importante per tutti noi.
Ci auguriamo, dunque, che possiate partecipare numerosi ai festeggiamenti di questi primi 25 anni di Biotecnologie a Padova e confidiamo nella vostra collaborazione nell'aiutarci a diffondere il più possibile l’invito a tutte le persone che riterrete interessate.

The presenter will be Dr. Dariano Krummenauer, hosted by the DAFNAE Department, he is an external researcher from the Federal University of Rio Grande in Brazil, who will speak about: "Sustainable aquaculture in southern Brazil.

32nd Symposium Animal Science Days 2023 - Oberaichwald, Slovenia

As you may have noticed, the registration for the Animal Science Days in Austria is now available on the website https://short.boku.ac.at/asd2024.
While the deadline for "early" registration is quite late - end of July - please be aware that room reservations should be made much earlier. Unfortunately the venue only guarantees rooms until 2nd May. However, the cancellation policy for individual bookings is very flexible (8 days before without charge - see terms and conditions at the hotel website), for group bookings it is 3 months.
So we would like to ask those of you who are already planning to come to make your room reservations as soon as possible and also to inform your colleagues who are not on this mailing list about the room situation.
A big thank you goes to Daniela for her work on the website and to Sarah-Joe and Angela for taking care of the social media!
